Ella's 1st Birthday!

Wow...has it been a year already?  I can't believe it!!  It seems like I just posted the pictures of her birth!  Here are some pictures from Ella's 1st birthday party at home with me and daddy and big sister Sophie on July 28, 2009!

12 weeks and 2 days ultrasound

The new baby is doing great!  Heart rate was 161 beats per minute and everything appears to be developing at the normal rate.  We were so relieved to see and hear that baby is ok in there!   Our little peanut is looking much more like a little baby now and we even got to see him or her bounce around and wave at us (well probably not right at us, but we like to think that it was at us)!  If you can not tell, this is a view of the baby's profile. The head is at the top.  We saw the arms, hands, legs, feet, and even fingers and toes today as well!  So amazing!  We are so excited to watch the baby and my tummy grow.  Next ultrasound will be at 18-20 weeks and we will find out if it is a boy or a girl!

4th of July

Yay America!

Here are some pictures from this year's 4th of July celebration at Benson Lake.
We love it and have made it a family tradition!

Sophie bouncing in the "jumpy house"

There she goes down the slide!

Whoa...big balloon!

Ella's first ice cream :)

"more please"

Sophie made a new friend, of course :)

The NC Symphony Orchestra put on a concert and Ella played along with her
mini maraca the whole time!  She loves music!

Ella was unsure at first about the loud fireworks, but she ended up enjoying them
...thank goodness :) !

The fireworks were much more impressive than this one, but I wanted to just enjoy them instead of taking photos :)

Happy Independence Day America!
